Workshop on Sports Textiles Organised by BCH

The demand for high performance sport
textiles in India & worldwide is constantly breaking new grounds as the
consumer of today is looking beyond utility and fashion in order to prepare
himself for the future. In this era of globalization, India is not only
becoming a popular outsourcing base but is also experiencing a huge domestic
demand. Thus, the need of the hour is to upgrade existing knowledge of
trends and techniques in this feild. Viewing this need, BCH will be
organising a two day Training Workshop on Sport Textiles which will be held
on 13 & 14 November 2007 in New Delhi. The area of focus for the
workshop will be market statistics, product categorisation and technical
properties, raw material, manufacturing finishing and testing of various
sport textile products. Thus, all the members of the technical and marketing
presonnel or new entrepreneurs who are looking at this feild will benefit

EDANA's
Training Courses in India for the Second Time

EDANA, in co-operation with BCH, had
organized its two highly -acclaimed nonwovens and absorbent hygiene products
training courses, for the first time in India in November 2006. As a result
of this successful "premiere" which witnessed both national and
international participation, and in view of the on-going needs of the
nascent nonwovens industry, EDANA and BCH for the second time together,
organised these courses in New Delhi, India on 2-6 December 2007. These
courses were successfully completed last week.

Realizing the rapid shift in industry
trends and he demand for technical textiles, all the new entrants and
established players of the textile industry are looking for new product
categories with related statistics and most importantly the technology know
how pertaining to them. In an endeavor to respond to the needs of the
industry, BCH had organized a two day Training workshop on Automotive
Textiles on 15 & 16 November, 2007 in New Delhi to ensure a healthy and
a timely movement towards growth. Subjects of interest like industry
overview, product assortment and properties, manufacturing technologies,
specific fabric structures, new developments, processing and finishing
requirements, testing standards and specifications all pertaining to
applications in automotives were highlighted. The workshop was designed to

prospects and gain technical know how.
